All in all, congrats to IK for a major release that likely took an enormous amount of work to happen. Sunset Sound Studio Reverb can be used as an individual plug-in or inside the T-RackS 5 container, which is itself plug-in and standalone. The user interface is simple and to the point, you can also learn a bit about the different rooms from the included text guide. You can dial in both Dry and Wet signals independently and also adjust input gain.
The reverbs can be fine-tuned using an array of familiar controls which include pre-delay, decay, HPF, Low, Hi, LPF, Mix (L/R/Stereo) and Width. This way, the acoustics and equipment sounds of Sunset are faithfully captured, claims IK. IK is using its proprietary dynamic convolution engine to model these facilities, with reverbs recorded through the studios’ custom console and mic collection.
